I think it's pretty obvious that she did it on purpose. I think she was just trying to do her own thing so she stuck out from everyone else. Every artist I know wants to go against the norm, it's kind of the definition of bieng an artist. Problem is who knows what normal is? Who makes that call? Isn't it kind of tuff to be normal when everyone is different?
I can relate with Frida, I try my damndest to be different all the time, hell I'm not even Chinese, I just decided to look like this because I couldn't grow a unibrow.
