OK, I have a new gig on Friday, May 12th at the Deja Vu Comedy Club in Columbia, MO.
Like last time, this one will be on the patio so it's WEATHER PERMITTING. Hopefully I have better luck with the rain this time.
I'm scheduled to play at 9:00 til 10:00 and then again around 10:30 til 12:00. That's a lot of time for me to cover, and I was hoping maybe Jigua Piru was off that night and possibly able to help me out.

You sing like a bird jagua and you play a mean mouth harp for a straight man. I figured I could back me up with some hillarious harmonys and feel some holes with some musical mouth harp/bass/guitar/cowbell playing solos.
I play a mean washboard. Of coarse I don't have a washboard...
Anyway, I'm glad you got a gig, Paulie. I imagine Jerry and Kevin did more to get you the job than your useless, but well-intentioned manager. I will make sure you have a capacity crowd in attendance however. Wait'll the world gets a load of you...wait'll.
Actualy blogdaddy it was a combination of you and my friend Janessa. If you go back and read Janessa made a comment to one of your posts.
Janessa is the one that got me hooked up with the gig there last year. She then got me set up to play there with Skreech from Saved By The Bell, but I had already made plans that weekend and couldn't do it.
What happened with this gig, was that the guy that books acts got one of the CD's you sent out and then called Janessa to make sure I was the same guy. Man she reamed me a good one for having someone else represent me at the place she got me.
So in reality he probably wouldn't have got back with me if it hadn't been for you getting him that CD, but then again he might not have called me if Jannessa hadn't already got me jobs there before. Sorry about forgeting to give you the low down on Deja Vu.
However it happened it's working and I seriously appreciate you pimping me out like you have.
I'm ready to rock Columbia
VF- I actually only sent the Vu a letter reminding them of who you are and your avalablility. I didn't send them a CD, because I knew they had already heard your act. I think Kevin (from the auction)slipped the copy I loaned him to the owner of Deja Vu, who is a good friend of his. Also, Brandon, another guy at the auction, is good friends with the Vu's manager, Matt. He said he'd put in a good word, too.
At any rate, it seems that Jagua's new "religion" called Pronoia is the best explanation for you getting the gig. Pronoia means that instead of everybody being out to get you (paranoia), the world is really conspiring to help you.
My apologies to Janessa for trampling on her turf. Isn't it nice to know that she and Kevin and a lot of other folks are willing to put in a good word for you? We'll all get together on the 12th and have some laughs and beers.
I can't wait! With those pesky anti-gang laws, there's a good chance that its illegal for us to be within 50 yards of each other. See you all in a couple weeks...
It is Mother's Day Weekend, so it would be appropriate if you wrote and sang some kind of song about "your Mother". Ok, not YOUR Mother VF, it could be as if you were talking to someone and singing a bunch of "your momma" slams. On second thought, maybe some funny stuff about what your mother may have done to you as a child might be appropriate and even more hilarious. If all else fails, you and Jaga could sing "My Ding a Ling" by Chuck Berry. It's a crowd sing along you know.
Or spin off of Willie Nelson, Momma's don't let your babies grow up to be Chinese Comedians.
