No Lyrics Left Behind

Crying at Your Feet (written by Paul Shields and Travis Naughton. Copyright 2008)

Why don't you want me here,
Why don't you seem to care,
I spent the better part of a year,
Tracking you down with the help of a private eye and some friends of mine that will do anything for a dime bag,
Why don't you want me here?

I thought that we were friends,
I guess I don't understand,
I gave you my heart & soul and then,
You gave me a restraining order and seventeen stitches in my head and my bowling trophy in the mail along with my toothbrush and my hand lotion,
I thought that we were friends.

(Bridge)
So please don't take it out on me,
You've had an empty life that much I know,
All I ever did was try to see,
In your windows at night when you just happened to be getting out of the shower or feeding your hamster Gus-Gus or that one time that the pizza guy stayed a little too long for my liking,
So please don't take it out on me.

And if you find me crying at your feet,
Please don't think that it's because I'm weak,
And wait before you call the police,
So I can have a chance to steal one last kiss and a shoe and possibly a pair of your panties carelessly left for me to find neatly tucked away in your dresser drawer,
Sorry I'm crying at your feet.

Seriously, please don't call the cops. Again.

Here are Paulie's original lyrics as he posted to Seamhead's blog:

No Lyrics Left Behind
In response to seamheads last post, I have decided to dust off some old lyrics and see if I can get some feedback and maybe through some blog team work come up with a completed song. Anyone can play this game so don't be shy, all ideas and criticisms are welcome. Awhile back I tryed this with my own blog page and came up with a great song about long nipples, so hopefully we can do something similar, but without the nipples.

The problem with me starting this is that all my unfinished songs where written while I was drunk and ticked off at some girl, so they all have a bit of a drunken pissed off air about them. So after officialy warning you here is my first installment of No Lyrics Left Behind:

(I don't have a title)

Don't you want me here
Don't you even care
I spend my ever dwendling years
searching for the source of my tears
don't you even care

I thought you were my friend
guess I didn't understand
opened my heart and gave my soul
thinking you'd never let it go
guess I didn't understand

And if I'm crying at your feet
it's because of trust not cause I'm weak
you've had a hard life I can see
please don't take it out on me
sorry I'm crying at your feet.

again, I appologize for the drunken pissed offedness, and the fact that it's only a few verses.
